Section 116
Do not be careless when keeping animals
(1) No one shall keep or rear a violent or any other animal under his or her control or custody without taking necessary precautions to prevent the risk of death or injury from such animal or by negligence.
(2) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished with imprisonment up to one year or with a fine of up to ten thousand rupees.
